DejaCode is a software component and license management application from nexB. With DejaCode, companies can manage their software products and components at the enterprise level across Business, Engineering and Legal teams. It is a Web application with a License Library, a Component Catalog and a Product Portfolio where you record Inventories and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for the software in your products. DejaCode provides the framework for implementing your license and usage policies for software components and automates key compliance tasks such as creating attribution text for open source components. DejaCode Enterprise also provides APIs so that you can integrate product, component and license data from DejaCode with your other systems.
There are several ways for you to evaluate using DejaCode as your software governance system. You can immediately sign up for access to the primary user features and functions using our demonstration data or request a private trial with your own data. See for more details.
DejaCode is normally deployed as a Service (Software as a Service). We do have an option for local installation in which case you will need a Linux server that is connected to your internal network. Server requirements are relatively modest, but installing locally requires someone from your IT department to be the system administrator.
DejaCode is always licensed as a subscription – normally for a year. See our licensing page for details about customer agreements for SaaS use or on-premises installation.
