DejaCode is a software component and license management application from nexB. With DejaCode, companies can manage their software products and components at the enterprise level across Business, Engineering and Legal teams. It is a Web application with a License Library, a Component Catalog and a Product Portfolio where you record Inventories and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for the software in your products
DejaCode Personal Edition allows you to look up software components and licenses when you have a question about software origin or licensing. The Personal Edition is “read-only” and does not include the Product Portfolio or Governance and Guidance features of DejaCode Enterprise or access to APIs.
DejaCode Enterprise Edition is an enterprise-level application that allows you to manage complete inventories of the software components that you use in development and bills of material for your products and internal systems as you release them. DejaCode provides the framework for implementing your license and usage policies for software components and automates key compliance tasks such as creating attribution text for open source components. DejaCode Enterprise also provides APIs so that you can integrate product, component and license data from DejaCode with your other systems.

You can upgrade to an Enterprise subscription at any time during your trial period. When you trial period ends, your account will be put on hold (your data will be kept secure) until you confirm whether you want a subscription for DejaCode Enterprise.
DejaCode is normally deployed as a Service (SaaS) mode. We do have an option for local installation in which case you will need a Linux server that is connected to your internal network. Server requirements are relatively modest, but installing locally requires someone from your IT department to be the system administrator.
